Juliette Lewis to reprise role in Apple TV’s Cape Fear series

Actress Juliette Lewis is set to reprise her role as Crystal Cady in a new Apple TV series adaptation of ‘Cape Fear’. The ten-episode reimagining, written and produced by Nick Antosca, serves as a modern take on the classic story.

In recent reflections on her character, Lewis described the complexity of portraying Crystal, noting the fascination with the character’s obsessive and stalking behaviors. She expressed an interest in exploring psychologically extreme roles and the emotional contrasts required to play a character who appears welcoming while harboring hidden intentions.

The series is expected to provide new layers to the character of Crystal, with reports suggesting a narrative shift that explores her role within the story's central conflicts.
