Julián Quiñones scores in Saudi Arabia as Mateo Chávez suffers injury in Netherlands

Mexican footballers Julián Quiñones and Mateo Chávez faced contrasting fortunes in their respective leagues. In the Saudi Pro League, Julián Quiñones scored his third goal of the season during Al Qadisiya’s 3-3 draw against Al Ettifaq. Quiñones opened the scoring in the 12th minute and also provided a notable assist with a three-finger pass that contributed to a subsequent goal. Despite his performance, Al Qadisiya surrendered two leads, leaving them in second place in the standings.

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Mateo Chávez suffered an injury during AZ Alkmaar’s 1-1 draw against Willem II. After a strong defensive performance, Chávez was forced to leave the pitch following an awkward landing during an aerial challenge. While AZ Alkmaar has not yet released an official medical report, the injury has caused concern regarding his availability for upcoming matches and his status with the Mexican national team.
