Julio César Alandi Tejerina faces new drug charges while under house arrest

Julio César Alandi Tejerina, a prominent drug trafficker known as "Boliviano César," is facing a new investigation for cocaine sales while serving a seven-and-a-half-year sentence under house arrest in Guaymallén, Mendoza.

The Anti-Narcotics Police (PCN) conducted an eight-month investigation, alleging that Alandi's residence, where he was required to remain under electronic monitoring, had been repurposed as a point for drug distribution. The investigation culminated in a raid on July 23 following surveillance of suspicious hand-to-hand transactions involving a woman and a man nearby.

Despite the recent arrest and evidence found during the raid, a Federal Chamber has permitted Alandi to remain under house arrest. The decision was based on the necessity of him providing care for his partner and two young children.
