Julio Schlosser, former president of DAIA, dies at 66
Julio Schlosser, a prominent figure in the Argentine Jewish community and former president of the Delegation of Argentine Israelite Associations (DAIA), has passed away at the age of 66.
During his presidency from 2012 to 2015, Schlosser was a vocal advocate for justice regarding the AMIA bombing and the investigation into the death of prosecutor Alberto Nisman. His leadership was also defined by efforts to combat antisemitism and his opposition to the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran.
Prior to leading the DAIA, Schlosser served as the general secretary of AMIA and held the presidency of Bnei Akiva Argentina, a local branch of the global Jewish youth organization.
