Julius Baer appoints new Co-Heads for Middle East and Africa

Julius Baer has announced a leadership realignment for its Middle East and Africa (MEA) market. Jean Pierre Dib and Philipp Kleinschnittger have been appointed as Co-Heads for the region, effective October 12, 2026. The duo will report to Rahul Malhotra, the Head of Region Emerging Markets.

In this new structure, the Co-Heads are responsible for the bank’s strategic priorities and client offerings across the region. This includes managing onshore operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Manama, and Johannesburg, alongside offshore coverage from Zurich, Geneva, and London.

Régis Burger, the former Head of Middle East & Africa, transitions into a newly created role as Chief Operating Officer for the Region Emerging Markets. He will also continue to serve as the CEO and Senior Executive Officer of Julius Baer (Middle East) Ltd., maintaining regulatory oversight of the DFSA-regulated entity.
