Julius Ben Emunah departs Accra Hearts of Oak Managing Director role

Julius Ben Emunah has departed from his role as Managing Director of the Ghanaian football club Accra Hearts of Oak. His tenure lasted less than a year, having been appointed in February 2026 to replace Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah.

Reports regarding the nature of his departure vary. One report indicates the club sacked Emunah due to alleged gross misconduct, though the club has not officially disclosed specific reasons for his exit. Conversely, Emunah has characterized the move as a resignation, describing it as a “difficult decision” in a message to the club.

In his statement, Emunah expressed gratitude to the Board, led by Chairman Togbe Afede XIV, and the National Chapters Committee for their support. He noted that while he is stepping down from his executive role, he remains a supporter of the club and intends to stay associated with the Phobians.
