Julius Berger Nigeria praises Abuja infrastructure surge, backs building plan

Managing Director Engr. Dr. Peer Lubasch of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike for an unprecedented wave of infrastructure projects across Abuja. He highlighted 31 consecutive days of project flag‑offs and commissioning ceremonies marking the capital’s 50th anniversary, citing new roads, bridges and public facilities that improve daily life and stimulate economic growth.

The company also reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable urban development at the Future Cities Summit 2026 in Lagos. Regional Manager Engr. Thomas Christl addressed the high upfront costs of low‑carbon construction, promoted recycled concrete as a way to cut emissions, and called for stronger collaboration among academia, industry and regulators to accelerate greener building practices in Nigeria.
