Julius Malema addresses crime and political rivals during EFF campaign

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has addressed several critical issues during recent manifesto launches ahead of the November 4 local government elections in South Africa.

In the Western Cape, Malema condemned the recent killing of ten women in Ekurhuleni, describing the violence as a “declaration of war.” He called on communities to assist police in apprehending the perpetrators and urged citizens to teach children to respect women. Additionally, Malema pledged that an EFF-led metro would aggressively target drug lords and illegal drug sales.

During a launch in KwaZulu-Natal, Malema also criticized the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, led by former president Jacob Zuma. He claimed the MK Party is unstable due to frequent leadership changes and internal expulsions, arguing that the party cannot provide reliable local governance. Malema contrasted these disputes with the perceived stability of the EFF.
