Julius Randle joins Brooklyn Nets in three‑team NBA trade

The Brooklyn Nets acquired forward Julius Randle in a three‑team transaction that also involved the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Chicago Bulls. The Nets received Randle, a 31‑year‑old All‑Star who averaged 21.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists last season, along with the 28th overall pick in the upcoming draft.

Minnesota obtained the 33rd pick from Brooklyn and forward Mo Bamba from Chicago, while the Bulls received center Nick Claxton from the Nets and sent Claxton to the Timberwolves. Randle signed a contract that runs through the 2027‑28 season, with an option to extend.

The trade gives the Nets a proven scorer to boost their roster and provides the Timberwolves with additional draft flexibility and a younger front‑court piece, while Chicago adds depth at center with Claxton.
