July 2026 video game launch slate features Assassin’s Creed remake and Halo on PS5

July 2026 is shaping up as one of the most densely packed summer release months for video games. Major titles include the remastered Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced launching on July 9 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and Halo: Campaign Evolved arriving on PS5 on July 28, marking the first time the classic franchise appears on Sony hardware and debuting on Xbox Game Pass. Other notable releases are DOOM: The Dark Ages – Revelations (July 7), Palworld 1.0 (July 10) moving from early‑access to full launch across all platforms, and Rhythm Paradise Groove debuting on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 2. Nintendo‑exclusive entries include Splatoon Raiders (July 23) and an updated Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Switch 2 (July 30). Additional games such as Ascend to Zero, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, and several indie titles also enter the market throughout the month, many with day‑one availability on Game Pass. The crowded schedule arrives amid anticipation for the upcoming GTA 6 release later in the year, intensifying competition among the major publishers.
