Wind gusts are expected to reach 50‑70 km/h, especially along the coast and in mountainous zones, and hail is possible in the higher terrain.

The same period sees the onset of the canícula heat wave, which is projected to push temperatures toward 45 °C for roughly 40 days, affecting Quintana Roo, Yucatán and many other Mexican states. Hurricane Genevieve, while remaining offshore in the Pacific, will add humidity and enhance the rain potential in the Yucatán Peninsula without making landfall.
