July 29: Landmark Events From NASA to Prince Charles' Wedding

On July 29 several historic milestones were recorded. In 1958 Congress passed the National Aeronautics and Space Act, establishing NASA, while the same year the Federal-Aid Highway Act launched the U.S. Interstate Highway System. That day in 1981 Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer married in London, an event watched by hundreds of millions.
