Jumbo Supermarkets sees market share growth in Netherlands and Belgium
Jumbo Supermarkets reported a reversal in its market trends for the first half of 2026. In the Netherlands, the retailer’s market share rose back above 20%, with consumer sales growing by 4% to approximately 6 billion euros. This growth outpaced the overall Dutch market growth of 2.1%. The company also noted a 3.4% increase in weekly customers and an improvement in its Net Promoter Score (NPS) to 40.7.
In Belgium, the chain experienced significant expansion, with sales increasing by 28% compared to the same period last year. Of this, 14.9% was attributed to comparable growth in existing stores. The company’s Belgian market share exceeded 2% in certain weeks for the first time. As of late August, Jumbo had expanded its Belgian presence to 48 stores following a new opening in Mortsel.
