Jun Hyun-moo to star in new MBN local travel variety show

MBN is launching a new local travel variety show, ‘This Is Hyun-moo Road’, premiering on the 20th. The program features entertainer Jun Hyun-moo and actor Lee Joon, who will explore authentic local cultures and lifestyles by moving away from standardized tourist routes.

Unlike previous travel content that relied on spontaneous improvisation, the production team emphasizes a ‘criteria-based’ approach. While there is no fixed itinerary, the cast follows specific goals, such as Jun Hyun-moo’s mission in Da Nang, Vietnam, to find locations where no Korean tourists are present. The show focuses on the process of travel, utilizing local interactions—such as asking taxi drivers for their personal restaurant recommendations—to discover hidden gems.

Lee Joon joins as a new travel mate, chosen for his ability to embrace unfamiliar situations without hesitation. The first episodes, filmed in Vietnam and Japan, highlight the duo's chemistry as they navigate language barriers and unexpected local culinary experiences.
