Brazilian municipalities implement new local policies and social plans
Various Brazilian municipalities are advancing local legislative and social initiatives. In Juína, the municipal government launched the 2026-2035 Municipal Goal Plan to combat domestic and family violence against women. This decadal plan, developed in response to recommendations from the Public Ministry of Mato Grosso, includes the creation of a Women's Reference Center (CRAM) and focuses on prevention, health, and security.
Other regional legislative activities include:
In Ouvidor, the City Council is debating rural health services, infrastructure improvements for vicinal roads, and animal protection.
In Terenos, the council approved a project establishing the Municipal Fibromyalgia Day and discussed improvements to bus stops and traffic safety.
In Limeira, eight projects are scheduled for voting, covering topics such as pedestrian safety, community alert programs, and wildlife conservation.
In Crato, community representatives participated in a deliberative plenary to define priority investments for the 2027 budget, focusing on health, education, and infrastructure.
In São José, political tension persists regarding the delay in debating a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee (CPI) to investigate waste tax contracts.
