Junaeb provides specialized optical equipment to students in Arica

In Arica, Chile, the regional directorate of Junaeb has distributed specialized optical equipment to students as part of its Low Vision Rehabilitation Program. The initiative aims to reduce educational barriers caused by visual impairments.

Beneficiaries received kits containing various technical aids, including magnifying glasses for close work, telescopes for distance viewing, lens filters, and wooden reading stands to improve posture. High school students also receive scanner magnifiers and bioptic lenses to assist with both near and far vision.

Regional director Romina Carvajal emphasized that providing these technical aids is essential to support students' education and ensure they are met with empathy and understanding within the school system.
