Junaeb seeks online training providers for school workshop monitors

Junaeb, Chile's National Board of School Aid and Scholarships, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify specialized providers for the online training and certification of workshop monitors. This initiative is part of the School Socio-emotional Wellbeing Program, which is scheduled for implementation in 2027.

The program will offer workshops for students from 3rd grade through 3rd year of high school, focusing on three main areas: sports, science-technology, and arts-culture. A key component of the training is that monitors must not only possess disciplinary expertise but also be equipped to teach socio-emotional skills, such as emotional management, communication, coexistence, frustration tolerance, and teamwork.

Junaeb is seeking proposals regarding instructional design and technological platforms to evaluate technical, pedagogical, and economic feasibility. During the first year, an estimated 1,000 to 2,000 monitors may be trained, with the potential to scale up to between 20,000 and 40,000 people as the program achieves national coverage over the next decade.
