Jung Soo-jung reflects on early debut and life under public scrutiny
In a recent interview with the YouTube channel ‘W KOREA’, actress and singer Jung Soo-jung, formerly known as Krystal of the group f(x), reflected on her career and the impact of her early entry into the entertainment industry.
Jung noted that her decision to become a trainee at the age of 12 or 14 was a pivotal moment that fundamentally altered her life path. She expressed that while she did not grasp the weight of that decision at the time, it has shaped her entire existence as a performer. Regarding her life under public scrutiny, she remarked that she often feels less free than she did as a child, noting, “I feel like I am a bit more trapped than when I was younger.”
Addressing her public image, Jung mentioned that while people often perceive her as cold, she considers herself a very ordinary person and wishes to showcase more of her natural self in future projects. She attributed her continuous work in both music and acting to her personal ambition and a desire to avoid regret. Currently, she is balancing multiple projects, including film, drama, and album preparations.
