Junglia Okinawa visitors offered new heatstroke and injury insurance

MS Plus One Small Amount and Short Term Insurance has launched ‘Spolec 1-Day Insurance’ specifically for visitors to Junglia Okinawa. Starting September 3, 2026, this daily insurance product covers injuries, liability for damages to others, and heatstroke risks.

Designed for travelers and outdoor enthusiasts, the insurance can be purchased via smartphone for a daily premium ranging from 400 to 600 yen. There are five distinct plans—Standard, Light, Basic, Wide, and Premium—offering varying levels of coverage for hospitalization, outpatient care, and heatstroke medical expenses. For those wishing to include heatstroke coverage on the day of visit, applications must be completed by 9:00 AM.

The initiative is part of a collaboration with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, the official marketing partner of Junglia Okinawa. This follows the theme park's existing heat mitigation efforts, which include providing over 5,000 free parasols and constructing 400 seats of shaded resting areas to address rising temperatures in the region.
