Jungnang-gu designates Sagajeong Station area for large-scale redevelopment

The Sagajeong Station area in Myeonmok-dong, Jungnang-gu, has been officially designated as a redevelopment zone by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The project covers a total area of 69,712.7 square meters.

On three of the four designated plots, a large-scale residential complex consisting of 16 buildings will be constructed. The development will reach a maximum height of 40 floors and provide a total of 2,037 housing units, including 566 long-term rental units and 137 redevelopment rental units.

The plan includes significant infrastructure improvements, such as expanding Sagajeong-ro 49-gil from 8 meters to 10 meters and creating a new park of approximately 7,123.8 square meters in connection with the existing Kkachi Children's Park. The project also aims to revitalize local commerce by placing neighborhood living facilities along the southern roadside near Sagajeong Station. Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi stated that the district will provide administrative support to ensure the project proceeds quickly and stably.
