Jungnang-gu secures approval for major urban housing redevelopment projects
Jungnang-gu has received approval from the Seoul Metropolitan Government for two major urban redevelopment projects aimed at increasing housing supply and improving residential environments near Sagajeong Station.
The Moa Town management plan for the Myeonmok 3 and 8-dong area has been approved. Covering approximately 80,000 square meters, this project will integrate five small-scale housing redevelopment zones into a large-scale complex of 2,334 units, including 433 rental units. The plan includes upgrading land use from second-class to third-class general residential areas, widening narrow roads to up to 15 meters, and constructing new parks and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure.
Additionally, the urban public housing complex project near Sagajeong Station in Myeonmok 7-dong has been approved. This project will develop a complex consisting of 1,300 units, ranging from underground level 5 to 35 floors above ground. The development includes 869 public sale units, 130 profit-sharing units, 221 public rental units, and 80 donated rental units. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2029, with a target completion date of 2033.
