Junket Bank anime premiere indefinitely delayed
The production committee for the TV anime adaptation of the manga ‘Junket Bank’ has announced an indefinite delay of its premiere, which was originally scheduled for October 2026. The announcement comes less than a month before the intended broadcast date, an unusual timing that the committee addressed with an apology.
The delay is attributed to scheduling issues within the animation production process. The committee stated that additional time is required to ensure the animation quality meets expectations and fully captures the charm of the original work. While specific new dates have not been set, the committee noted that management systems are being restructured to prevent future occurrences.
Manga author Ikko Tanaka also issued an apology to fans, expressing regret for the disappointment caused while emphasizing a commitment to the project's quality. Following the official apology, Tanaka gained social media attention for posting a manga panel featuring a character striking someone, a move fans reacted to with humor and support.
