Municipalities across Latin America launch training programs for youth

Local governments in several Latin American cities are conducting public training initiatives aimed at improving skills and employment prospects. The Libertador municipality organized an oratory workshop for municipal staff and youth leaders, while Junín’s Office of Employment held a free employability session covering résumé writing, interview techniques and career planning. In Ushuaia, the "Mujeres en Marcha" program offered women courses in trades such as boiler maintenance, painting, flooring and welding. Tolhuin’s labour ministry partnered with a hospitality firm to train more than 70 participants for hotel and restaurant jobs. Santiago del Estero hosted a first‑ever medical aero‑evacuation and clinical simulation to strengthen emergency response among health professionals. Riobamba’s cultural department held an oratory contest for cadets on the city’s emancipation history, and San Luis Potosí’s Movimiento Ciudadano ran a political and public‑speaking workshop for party activists.

These programs share the goal of boosting employability, communication abilities, gender economic empowerment, tourism sector readiness and emergency preparedness. Municipal officials highlighted the importance of equipping citizens with practical tools to foster personal development and community resilience.
