Junín police arrest drug dealer known as ‘El Rey de las Pastillas’

Authorities in Junín, Buenos Aires province, have arrested a 27-year-old man known as ‘El Rey de las Pastillas’ following a multi-month investigation into narcotics trafficking. The operation, conducted by the Junín Illicit Drug Trafficking Investigations Department, involved raids on two residences in the Villa Belgrano neighborhood.

During the raids, police seized various designer drugs, including ecstasy (MDMA), ketamine, LSD, amphetamines, and ‘Tusi’ (pink cocaine). Investigators determined that the suspect used his mother’s home as a storage facility for the illicit substances. The investigation, which began in April following anonymous reports, utilized undercover tasks, surveillance, and photographic evidence to document the retail sale of drugs to buyers from various neighborhoods.
