Junta Central Electoral launches mobile ID services in Dominican Republic

The Junta Central Electoral (JCE) has launched mobile operations across the Dominican Republic to bring identity card renewal services directly to remote communities. This territorial deployment aims to assist citizens in municipalities and districts where traveling to traditional identification centers is difficult.

So far, the initiative has recorded 17,819 applications, with 14,833 documents already delivered. The operations have focused heavily on the southern region, including locations such as Azua, San Juan de la Maguana, Barahona, and several other rural demarcations.
