Andalusia advances multiple road infrastructure and safety projects

Several infrastructure and road improvement projects are underway across Andalusia, Spain.

The Junta de Andalucía has awarded a contract for approximately 294,248 euros to draft a project to improve the A-311 highway between Lahiguera and Fuerte del Rey. This 14-kilometer stretch aims to enhance road safety and capacity for a route that connects Jaén with Andújar and sees high agricultural machinery traffic. Additionally, the regional government has awarded over 367,000 euros for the drafting of the Utrera East Bypass project, intended to divert long-distance traffic and reduce congestion in the municipal center.

In Málaga, the Diputación is executing works on the MA-3108 road between Benamargosa and Cútar. The project, valued at over 340,000 euros and awarded to Sedinfra SA, focuses on improving drainage through the installation of 2,400 meters of concrete ditches and enhancing safety with 3,000 meters of new guardrails to meet current regulatory standards. These works are expected to be completed by early November.
