Junta de Andalucía launches major A-92 highway renovation plan

The Junta de Andalucía has launched an extraordinary asphalt renovation plan to improve the A-92 highway, focusing on a 22-kilometer stretch in the province of Málaga passing through Mollina, Antequera, and Archidona. To ensure worker safety and minimize traffic congestion, construction is primarily being conducted during nighttime hours.

The project is part of a broader regional initiative involving 151.5 million euros, marking the largest investment in pavement conservation by the regional government in two decades. This plan aims to improve a total of 126 kilometers of the A-92 across the provinces of Almería, Granada, Málaga, and Sevilla.

In Málaga, 17.5 million euros have been allocated for various road interventions. The current works on the A-92 include the repair of potholes, milling of deteriorated asphalt, and the application of new mixtures. A first phase covering ten kilometers has already been completed, with the remaining sections expected to be operational by early September.
