Junta de Andalucía officials raise doubts over new career model

Public officials in the Junta de Andalucía are raising concerns and seeking clarification regarding the implementation of a new horizontal career model. Established by Decree 91/2026 on May 12, the system allows employees to advance professionally without changing their current job roles.

Unions report receiving numerous inquiries concerning the initial placement process and the homologation of career stages. A primary area of uncertainty involves officials transferring from other public administrations. To address this, the Central Homologation Commission was created in May to individually assess and compare existing professional career systems from other entities to determine if they can be recognized within the Junta's framework.
