Junta de Castilla y León announces business continuity fund

The Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE) will launch a new Business Continuity Fund next year to prevent the closure of viable companies facing temporary difficulties. The initiative aims to preserve employment, the productive fabric, and economic activity within the region.

Carlos Fernández Carriedo, the Minister of Economy and Finance, announced that ICE will allocate 80.6 million euros to business financing. This includes 8.6 million euros in non-repayable grants for startup creation and 25.1 million euros for the consolidation and growth of SMEs. Additionally, four calls for aid regarding business creation and SME investment will be established, totaling nearly 30 million euros.

The announcement was made during the presentation of the 2027 budget project for the Ministry of Economy and Finance, which is set at 433.4 million euros, a 4% increase from the previous approved budget. A significant portion of these funds will be managed through ICE, which will have a budget of 259.14 million euros.
