Junta de Castilla y León halts new educational ratios due to funding gaps

The Junta de Castilla y León has halted the implementation of new educational ratios, citing a lack of state funding and planning. During the Sectoral Education Conference, regional officials rejected the Ministry of Education’s Strategic Plan for Inclusive Education and proposed reforms to the royal decrees regulating minimum center requirements.

Regional Counselor María Pardo demanded financial guarantees and legal certainty from the central government to implement educational reforms. While the region received 1.3 million euros for Vocational Training, the administration argued that decisions affecting the organization and financing of the educational system must involve effective participation from autonomous communities.
