Junta de Protección Social launches new lottery and announces major winners

The Junta de Protección Social (JPS) has introduced a new instant lottery ticket titled ‘Regalos de Santa’ for the holiday season. The product features a top prize of ₡20 million and includes a total of 345,645 cash prizes ranging from ticket cost refunds to ₡1 million. The game mechanics involve scratching a protective surface to match three numbers, with additional features such as a ₡10,000 bonus for finding the ‘Loterito’ figure and opportunities to participate in the ‘Rueda de la Fortuna’ television program.

Separately, the JPS announced the results of the Chances draw held on October 23, which awarded a top prize of ₡120 million per full ticket (across two emissions). Winners can claim prizes through JPS facilities in San José, authorized banking entities such as Banco de Costa Rica, or via registered bank accounts for online purchases.
