Junts and PNC form electoral coalition in Catalonia

Junts and the Partit Nacionalista de Catalunya (PNC) have signed a structural agreement to run as a coalition in upcoming electoral cycles. The pact, titled “Levantar Catalunya: Reencuentro, responsabilidad y futuro,” was signed by Junts Secretary General Jordi Turull and PNC Secretary General Marta Pascal.

The coalition will contest the general elections on November 29, next year's municipal elections in May, the 2028 Catalan Parliament elections, and the 2029 European elections. The agreement aims to strengthen the central space of Catalan sovereignty and reduce political fragmentation.

Under the terms of the deal, both parties will allow dual membership, and Junts will include PNC members on its electoral lists. Additionally, the PNC will gain representation within the Junts leadership, including one seat on the executive and two members on the National Council.
