Junya Ito scores first goal of season in KRC Genk victory

Junya Ito scored his first goal of the season during KRC Genk's 4-0 victory against Beerschot in the fourth round of the Belgian Pro League on August 28.

Starting in his preferred right-wing position, Ito secured the second goal for Genk in the 19th minute. After pressing the opponent on the right side and forcing a turnover, he drove into the penalty area and finished with a precise left-footed shot.

Genk's victory was bolstered by an early penalty from Rafiu Durosinmi and subsequent goals from Josue Congolo and Yorris Kayembe. Fellow Japanese player Ayumu Yokoyama also started the match, contributing to the offensive play before being substituted in the 71st minute.
