Comme des Garçons presents Spring/Summer 2027 collections

The Comme des Garçons group presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collections, featuring distinct creative directions from Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe, and noir kei ninomiya.

Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons collection explored the intersection of royal and everyday life through sculptural silhouettes, exaggerated proportions, and ceremonial headpieces by artist Nobuki Hizume. The presentation utilized denim, leather, and quilted surfaces to transform familiar garments into architectural forms.

Junya Watanabe’s “Funky” collection offered a high-energy contrast, utilizing crystal fringe, pearls, and studs. The runway featured pop-punk influences, including tight-fitting catsuits and metallic accents, alongside more formal black gowns with Edwardian-style crinoline hemlines.

Key Ninomya’s noir kei ninomiya collection also contributed to the seasonal showcase, emphasizing unique textures and light-focused designs.
