Juozo Miltinio Drama Theatre to premiere ‘Neužgimę herojai’

The Juozo Miltinio Drama Theatre will host the premiere of Mykola Mishyn’s production ‘Neužgimę herojai’ (Unborn Heroes) on October 17 and 18. The play is based on the original manuscripts of Georg Büchner’s ‘Woyzeck’.

The production follows the story of Woyzeck, a soldier returning from war with a fractured psyche, navigating a world of indifferent people. The play explores human nature through a blend of comedy, grotesque, and drama, examining the struggle to face one's own shadow.

To ensure an accurate interpretation of Büchner’s vision, the creative team studied all four of the author's original manuscripts. Director Mykola Mishyn, who has worked in Ukrainian and Russian theaters and has lived in Poland since 2022, aims to maintain the raw and unromanticized essence of the original text.
