Jupiter Cyclops announces new heavy metal album ‘One Eye Opens’

The Phoenix, Arizona-based heavy metal band Jupiter Cyclops has announced the release of their second studio album, ‘One Eye Opens’, scheduled for November 20, 2026, via Rockshots Records.

Building on their 2024 debut, ‘Age of the UFOnaut’, the eight-track album incorporates 1980s heavy metal and NWOBHM influences alongside 1970s rock foundations. The musical direction spans proto-thrash, melodic songwriting, and atmospheric arrangements, including the seven-minute track ‘The Initiates’.

Thematically, the album explores concepts of manipulation, control, and fear within modern society. The band stated that the music was written while observing a perceived loss of humanity in the world, focusing on themes of awareness and questioning accepted realities. The first single, ‘Who Are They Foolin’?’, has already been released.
