Jura Energy's Maru-3 well begins gas production in Pakistan

Jura Energy Corporation announced that its Maru-3 development well on the Maru Lease in Pakistan has been completed and tied into production facilities. The well, drilled to a measured depth of 951 m in the Eocene‑age Pirkoh Limestone formation, recorded a post‑completion test flow of about 1.02 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) at an average wellhead pressure of roughly 105 psi.

After tie‑in, the well is now producing approximately 0.7 MMcf/d of conventional natural gas. Jura holds a 10.66 % working interest, while the project is operated by the state‑owned Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL). Production is expected to increase following a production build‑up survey and acid stimulation planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. The Maru Lease, covering about 15.41 km² across Rahim Yar Khan district in Punjab and Ghotki district in Sindh, is part of Jura’s broader effort to boost domestic gas output and reduce Pakistan’s reliance on imported fuel.
