Jura Prefect reports graffiti calling for the murder of police

The Prefect of Jura, Pierre-Édouard Colliex, has referred a matter to the public prosecutor in Lons-le-Saunier following the discovery of graffiti calling for the ‘murder of police officers’. The inscriptions were found on urban furniture during a demonstration organized by the antifascist collective AFA 39.

The event, described as an ‘antifascist forum’, took place from Friday to Sunday and included conferences, roundtables, and concerts, drawing approximately 200 participants. The Prefect expressed total support for the police and gendarmes, stating that efforts will be made to ensure the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice.
