Juraj Kukura discusses his tombstone and upcoming documentary

Slovak actor Juraj Kukura has prepared his own tombstone, designed by sculptor Viťo Bojňanský. Reflecting on mortality with perspective, Kukura expressed a desire for his funeral to be a moment of silence rather than a platform for grand, hyperbolic speeches.

A documentary film about his life, directed by Peter Kerekes, is currently being filmed in locations including Prague, Prešov, Košice, Bratislava, and Lomnický štít. The project is expected to be released next year and may incorporate elements of his funeral as part of the cinematic retrospective.
