Juramento acquires 10,800-hectare estate in Salta for US$22.8 million
The Brito family's agribusiness firm, Juramento, has purchased the Estancia Lote 5 estate in the Anta department of Salta, Argentina, for US$22.8 million. The acquisition includes 10,800 hectares of land and approximately 4,000 head of red Brangus cattle.
Located near Joaquín V. González, the new property will be dedicated to breeding and rearing. CEO Rafael Aguilar stated that the company aims to leverage technology and intensification to potentially double the current meat production per hectare. At full potential, the estate is expected to contribute roughly 5,000 calves annually to the company's integrated production system, supporting its Cabaña Juramento and Bermejo brands.
Juramento currently manages over 100,000 hectares, including 44,000 hectares of agricultural land. The firm fattens 86,000 animals per year and commercializes more than 34,000 tons of meat for both local and international markets.
