Jurangmangu Station: Police investigate death of 14-year-old student
Police in Tangerang Selatan are investigating the death of a 14-year-old student, identified as AP, who was struck by a train at Jurangmangu Station on Monday afternoon, August 10, 2026.
According to Ciputat Timur Police Chief Kompol Bambang Askar Sodiq, the incident was reported at approximately 16:43 WIB after station security observed someone fall onto the tracks. Witnesses stated the victim was on the platform as a train arriving from Tanah Abang entered the station area.
Preliminary investigations suggest the victim and a schoolmate had traveled to the station together but decided to wait on different platforms. The victim sustained head injuries and was evacuated to RSUD Tangerang Selatan for a medical examination.
