Jurassic Coast beach chalet sells for £180,000
A beach chalet on the Jurassic Coast, named Kestrel, sold for £180,000 at a Clive Emson Auctioneers sale on September 24. Located at East Beach in Branscombe, the property received 64 bids, significantly exceeding its leasehold guide price of £50,000 to £60,000.
Despite requiring structural repairs, the detached cedarwood chalet features two bedrooms and views of Lyme Bay. It was sold with the remainder of a 99-year lease.
Other notable sales in the Devon area included a two-bedroom cottage in Colyton for £91,000 and a former vicarage in Dawlish, which sold for over £130,000. The Dawlish site includes planning permission for seven homes.
