Jurassic Park River Adventure shows signs of life during refurbishment

The Jurassic Park River Adventure attraction at Universal Orlando Resort is showing signs of progress following a lengthy refurbishment. Recent footage reportedly shows the ride undergoing testing, marking a milestone for the attraction which has been closed since January 5, 2026.

Universal has extended the ride's reopening date to December 17, 2026. Evidence suggests the attraction will retain its original 1993-inspired Jurassic Park identity rather than being rethemed to Jurassic World, as seen in other Universal locations. The official website continues to list the experience under its original name, describing the familiar river expedition and Tyrannosaurus rex encounter.
