Juárez announces transport changes for Independence Day

The State Government of Chihuahua, through the Secretaría General de Gobierno and the Operadora de Transporte (OTV), has announced temporary modifications to urban transport routes and services in Juárez due to the Independence Day celebrations on September 15.

To facilitate the festivities, the Bowí system will offer free service starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, with extended hours until 2:00 a.m. Certain stations will be closed, including Fuentes Danzarinas and Juárez when traveling north to south, and Niños Héroes and Trébol when traveling south to north. Specific route diversions will be implemented via Avenida Teófilo Borunda and Avenida Melchor Ocampo to accommodate the event at Plaza del Ángel.

Additionally, several urban transport routes will undergo modifications due to street closures in the city's central district. Routes such as Auxiliar Pistolas Meneses, Ruta 3-Granjas, and Mármol will see changes in their paths through Avenida Colón and Avenida Teófilo Borunda. Other routes, including Ramiro Valles, Rosario, Dale, Kennedy, and 2 de Octubre, will also follow diverted paths through Calle 27 and Avenida Teófilo Borunda to bypass restricted areas.
