Juárez Ecology Directorate announces new pest control program
The Municipal Ecology Directorate has announced the upcoming implementation of a nebulization and sanitization program to combat insect pests. César Díaz, the director of municipal Ecology, stated that the initiative aims to target areas with water accumulation. The program is expected to begin in the Dren 2-A sector, with additional requests for action in Acequia Madre, Riberas del Bravo, and the Juan Pablo II area.
In addition to the new nebulization efforts, the department has conducted over 17,000 fumigations against ticks. In response to requests from educational institutions, tick fumigation services will double starting next week to cover more schools before students return to class.
Regarding local concerns over tire stockpiles, a Chinese company managing the task has promised to begin operations on September 30, following two recent fires at the confinement site that resulted in sanctions from Ecology and Civil Protection departments.
