Juárez Municipal Government ends property tax surcharge discounts

The Juárez Municipal Government has announced that Monday, August 31, is the final day for citizens to benefit from a 100 percent discount on surcharges for overdue property tax (Impuesto Predial). The initiative aims to help residents regularize their accounts and avoid further penalties.

Blanca Dolores Romero Aguilar, Director of Revenue, clarified that the discount applies to overdue accounts that are not currently involved in legal proceedings or protected by injunctions. In addition to the property tax relief, a 50 percent discount on traffic violation surcharges remains in effect through the end of August.

Payments can be made in person at municipal collection offices, through electronic means, at banking institutions, at Del Río self-service stores, or via the Juárez Conectado application. Furthermore, a mobile treasury unit will be available on Friday, September 4, at the Alameda subdivision to facilitate payments and deferred payment schemes.
