JuárezBus Valle trial route faces low ridership and evaluation

The three‑month trial of the Valle de Juárez public‑transport service, operated by Star Soluciones under a 90‑day provisional permit, has drawn criticism due to persistently low passenger numbers. Operator Salvador Lozano said the two van units continue to run on the same schedule, while state representative Carlos Ortiz acknowledged the demand is insufficient for financial self‑sustainability. The formal evaluation of the project will remain open until mid‑August, when a decision will be made on continuation, modification, or suspension.

Residents of Ciudad Juárez’s southeast neighborhoods argue the state has prioritized a route with limited demand, while overcrowded existing lines such as the 1A Express leave many commuters stranded. Calls have been made to extend JuárezBus service to growing sectors, citing potential quick recovery of investment if ridership increases.
