Jurgen Klopp favors Barcelona ahead of El Clásico

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has identified Barcelona as the better team ahead of the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid. Speaking to DAZN, Klopp explained that his historical preference for Barcelona stemmed from a dislike of the defensive style employed by Real Madrid players like Pepe, specifically the tendency to clear the ball out of play rather than playing out from the back.

While Klopp stated he now maintains a neutral perspective, he believes Barcelona is currently the superior side. The Catalan club holds a six-point lead over Real Madrid in the league standings.

Both teams face personnel challenges for the match. Barcelona is dealing with injuries to Dani Olmo, Eric García, Andreas Christensen, and Roony Bardghji, with Jules Koundé also a doubt. Real Madrid will be without Vinicius Jr., who is serving a four-match ban, as well as Rodrygo and Raúl Asencio.
