Juri Knorr to join Paris Saint-Germain in record Aalborg transfer
German handball star Juri Knorr will join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the summer of 2027, signing a contract that runs until 2030. The 26-year-old playmaker is currently playing for the Danish champions, Aalborg Håndbold.
Aalborg Håndbold confirmed the move as the largest transfer in the club's history. Although Knorr was originally under contract until 2028, PSG negotiated a buyout to allow him to join a year earlier. While the exact transfer fee was not disclosed, it is described as a record-breaking sum for the Danish club.
Knorr will join fellow German international Renars Uscins at PSG. The move is seen as a significant reinforcement for the French club as they aim to secure the Champions League title. To prepare for Knorr's departure, Aalborg has already secured Faroese playmaker Elias Ellefsen á Skipagøtu, who will join the club in 2027 on a free transfer.
