Jurica Pavičić concludes Tivat Literary Summer

The Tivat Literary Summer, organized by the Tivat City Library, concluded with a guest appearance by prominent Croatian author Jurica Pavičić. During the event held at the Tivat Museum and Gallery, Pavičić presented his novel ‘Žigice’ to the local audience.

In a discussion with Dr. Miomir Abović, an editor for the City Library, the conversation focused on the novel’s themes and literary techniques. While the book functions as a thriller centered on an investigation into a fire near Split, Abović noted that it explores deeper metaphysical issues, including human relationships, guilt, and the moral trials of characters within a transitional society.

Pavičić expressed his affinity for the crime genre, stating that he embraces writing genre fiction and rejects the traditional distinction between ‘high’ and ‘low’ literature.
